Batoul is a green-chemist, environmentalist, and advocate of everything-sustainable. She is passionate about designing green products and processes that reduce the generation and use of hazardous substances through sustainable, resource-efficient and innovative design molecules, materials and processes. Driven by this goal, she has founded Savvy Element, an ecological brand and manufacturing company for self and home-care products that are both green and environmentally sustainable.

Batoul has previously worked on research projects focused on waste-to-energy processes, biomass and biogas, as well as green-solvents. She holds an MSc in Chemistry and an MSc in Economics & Management; She is currently pursuing a graduate diploma in Green Technologies at the American University of Beirut.
