Humanitarian NGOs meet Green Entrepreneurs: constraints, opportunities, and action

“Reducing the environmental footprint of humanitarian response in Lebanon”

The Ecoswitch coalition was part the workshop that Group URD presented a unique opportunity to connect humanitarian NGOs looking to reduce the environmental footprint of their humanitarian response, with local businesses offering solutions in the energy, waste, water, hygiene, food and beverage and transport sectors. Together, the local green entrepreneurs and humanitarian agencies triggered greening actions from NGOs, creating opportunities for collaboration with local circular businesses and increase mutual understanding of their respective goals, intentions, and constraints.
