TAKASIS

Takasis transforms textile waste into handcrafted pieces—reviving materials, empowering communities, and creating beauty with purpose.

The Challenge

The fashion industry produces massive textile waste, much of which ends up in landfills, polluting the environment. At the same time, many artisans and women in Lebanon face limited economic opportunities. Takasis was born to tackle both issues by turning discarded fabrics into functional, meaningful designs, while creating sustainable jobs and empowering local communities.

Our Solution

Takasis offers a creative, circular solution by upcycling textile waste into handcrafted products bags, accessories, and home items that are both sustainable and meaningful. By partnering with local women artisans, we create income generating opportunities while reducing environmental harm.

Our Vision

Takasis aspires to become a leading example of how circular design can drive environmental healing and social change starting in Lebanon, and inspiring globally.

Our Products and Services

Takasis offers handcrafted bags, accessories, and home items made from upcycled textile waste. We also provide custom collaborations and workshops focused on sustainable design and community empowerment.

Our Impact

Since we started, Takasis has upcycled around 3 tonnes of textile waste that would have otherwise gone to landfill. We currently work with 12 local women on a part-time basis, providing them with income and skills while promoting sustainable, community-driven craftsmanship.
